A great bell (Bonsho) for Kanshoji

Thanks to the sangha, we have built all the buildings and passageways necessary for the monastery to practise according to the teachings of master Dōgen… But there is one element missing, essential for any Buddhist monastery or temple: a Bonshō, a great bell outside the dojo. During zazen, the deep sound of the great bell floats in the silence of the surrounding area, carrying the sound of the Dharma to the neighbouring villages.
On our return from Japan, after visiting the temples and a bonshō foundry, we thought the time had come to install one in Kanshoji.
This is an expensive project (78,000 euros). It can only come to fruition with your help and donations from the sangha.

Thank you in advance for your support.
